TRANSPARENCY

AI Transparency & Ethics

Effective August 4, 2026

Digital Nocturne runs on AI-augmented workflows, more heavily than most shops this size, and I'd rather explain exactly how that works than let anyone guess. This page covers what AI actually does in this business, and what stays entirely in my hands.

What AI Handles

  • Drafting first passes: content, code, reports, and campaign copy. Every draft gets reviewed and reworked before it ships.
  • Research and data processing across SEO, ad performance, and analytics, surfacing patterns faster than manual review would catch them.
  • Repetitive, high-volume execution: audits across many pages, batch reporting, workflow automation, and code scaffolding on web builds.

What Doesn't Change

  • Strategy: what to prioritize, what a campaign should actually do, and why.
  • Judgment: how to read a client's numbers and what they mean for the next move.
  • Final review: nothing reaches a client without a real person checking it first.

AI speeds up how fast I can execute. It doesn't decide what's worth executing, and it never touches a decision about a client's money, brand, or reputation.

Why I'm Writing This Down

I took Anthropic's AI Fundamentals course earlier this year, and it pushed me to think harder about disclosure, not only capability. I've written before about the gap between AI-generated plausibility and real expertise (the LinkedIn piece linked from the homepage); staying quiet about my own AI use would undercut that argument. So here it is, plainly.

What AI Tools I Use

Claude and Claude Code, from Anthropic, are the primary tools behind the AI-augmented side of this business, handling everything from research and drafting to workflow automation and code scaffolding. I choose tools on purpose rather than defaulting to whatever's newest, and I stay hands-on with how they're configured instead of treating them as a black box.

How This Shows Up Day to Day

An SEO audit might start with AI surfacing patterns across hundreds of pages, but the recommendations and the priority order are mine. An ad campaign might get a first-draft structure from AI, but the strategy and the budget decisions are mine. A website might get built faster because AI handles boilerplate, but the architecture and the QA are mine.

What This Means For Your Project

If you work with Digital Nocturne, this is the practice you're getting: AI-accelerated execution with a human running strategy, making the calls, and reviewing everything before it reaches you. That's true whether the deliverable is an SEO audit, an ad campaign, or a website build.

This Will Keep Evolving

The tools and the workflow behind them change fast, faster than most policy pages get updated. I'll revise this page as the practice actually changes rather than leaving it stale. The date at the top reflects the last real update, not a template default. Even the people building these models don't know where the ceiling is yet. I don't either, and I'd rather revise this page honestly as things change than pretend I've got it all figured out.
